Some networks pay providers a set fee, even if it's greater than the billed charges, which can result in you paying more than you should. With SelectCare, you pay whichever is less expensive—the set fee or the billed charges.

Optional care management program

Timely information is critical to ensuring that members receive appropriate and effective care when they are hospitalized. At your request, we can deliver inpatient notification reports and medical necessity reviews. You have final authority to accept or reject recommendations to determine the final benefit granted. You may also opt for nurse case management for members with catastrophic illness. Nurses help members by coordinating benefits and care throughout a hospital stay and post-discharge. This helps maximize quality of care and promote cost-effective use of health care.
